TURCK - Turck's Compact FEN20 Industrial Ethernet I/O Modules with Built-in Web Server

TURCK’s new compact Ethernet multiprotocol I/O modules make standard switching signals quickly and effectively bus-capable. Thanks to their multiprotocol plug-and-play functionality, the FEN20 devices with digital inputs and outputs are immediately ready for use in PROFINET®, Modbus® TCP or EtherNet/IP™ systems. The device detects the protocol used by listening to the communication traffic during the startup phase.

The FEN20 devices are available in two different designs. The small 4DIP-4DXP, which measures as just 55x62.5x30 mm, fits in small control boxes, control panels or other existing housings and can also be retrofitted to make push buttons and LED indicators quickly Ethernet ready. The large 16DXP variant, which measures 57x152x47 mm, is designed for the same type of application and provides up to 16 I/Os. As a DXP variant it can be operated both as an input or output. The module also provides the division of the I/O-signals into three independent potential groups which are isolated from each other – which can be used for safety shutdowns – and can be centrally controlled.

TURCK Expands YB2 Family with Enhanced Visibility Variant

TURCK announces an expansion to the YB2 line of compact disconnect splitters with LEDs. The new addition to the YB2 line features a translucent black overmolded design. This encapsulates the LEDs and protects them from physical damage while also complementing visibility. The LEDs are visible from both sides of the splitter, which allows for more flexible mounting options. The YB2 is available with an M12 (eurofast®) trunk connector and either M12 (eurofast) or M8 (picofast®) branch connectors.
This YB2 splitter is used to consolidate two separate discrete PNP device signals into a single cable or into a multi-port junction box. It is an ideal solution for applications in the material handling, food and beverage, and automotive industries. Additionally, The YB2 is the recommended consolidation splitter for customers using TURCK's Z-style junction boxes.

The LEDs provide a visual indication of when power is applied and when one or both discrete signals are present. Additionally, the YB2 has a rating of 10-30 VDC at up to 4 amps and provides users with an ingress rating of IP67.

TURCK Offers Flexible High Performance Ultrasonic Sensor Series

TURCK is pleased to announce their new family of teachable ultrasonic sensors. The new ultrasonic sensor series from TURCK enables the user to cover large sensing ranges with fewer sensor variants and short blind zones. The sensors are available in 18mm and 30mm barrel housings with sensing ranges from 40cm to 300cm. Designed for rugged industrial applications, these sensors are IP67 rated and an ideal solution for object detection and liquid level applications.

In order to offer the right sensor for every application, TURCK has increased the versatility of the individual models. The simple compact version of the RU40 and RU100 modules enables the user to set the sensing range as well as NC and NO switching outputs with a teach adapter. The standard sensor versions also enable the setting of switch windows and two separate switching points, either by a teach adapter or via a teach button directly on the sensor.

The high-end versions can be operated as a switch or as an analog sensor. Different operating modes, temperature compensation or the output function can also be set via IO-Link. If several sensors are installed next to each other, the customer can set the sensor parameters in synchronization or multiplex mode, in order to prevent mutual interference of the sensors. An optional USB master is also available which enables interface and parameterization of high-end sensors via IO-Link.

TURCK's New uprox®3 Series Features Longer Sensing Ranges in More Compact Design

TURCK announces the uprox3 series of sensors, which offers the largest switching distances of all Factor 1 sensors on the market thanks to an electronic platform that uses the latest chip set and manufacturing technologies. These technologies are a world first, enabling the creation of the uprox3 Factor 1 sensors in compact, 4mm smooth barrel and M5 designs with a 1mm switching distance, even for flush mounting. TURCK has also managed to shrink the previously most compact M8, M12 and M18 designs.

uprox3 sensors are the third generation of TURCK's uprox Factor 1 sensors. Although the existing uprox+ sensors offered large switching distances for all metals, these distances are increased by as much as 50 percent in the new sensors. It previously was unattainable to sense 3mm in the M8 design, 6mm in M12 and 10mm in M18. However, thanks to the consistent development of its uprox technology, TURCK has been able to achieve these larger switching distances without any compromises in performance. The uprox3 sensors still offer outstanding application reliability for demanding sensing tasks, but also allow for the possibility of completely new installations.

Because of their inherent immunity to magnetic fields, the uprox3 series sensors are suitable for use in many demanding industrial sectors, such as welding for the automotive and metal forming markets. The new uprox3 series will be available with robust PTFE coated sensors in M8, M12 and M18 designs. TURCK's weldguard®, which resists high heat and weld slag buildup, will also be available. Like their predecessors, all uprox3 sensors offer a high EMC stability and flexible mounting including full flush mounting, as well as precise switch points

TURCK's New extremelife-60 Cables Feature Unparalleled Durability for Cold Harsh Environments

To answer the need for cables that can withstand the harshest cold-weather environments imaginable, TURCK announces a new platform cable offering, extremelife-60. Designed with a specially engineered proprietary cable jacket material, these cables remain flexible enough to work down to -40°C, and carry UL -60°C cold bend and UL/CSA -40°C cold impact listings, as well as an FT4 flame rating. No other cable on the market combines these achievements in a single cable solution, which makes the extremelife-60 an unrivaled solution for extreme cold-weather applications, even in harsh environments. The extremelife-60 cables are available in a wide variety of AWG sizes, constructions, conductor counts and cable jacket colors.
